Ecstatic Dance might feel a little bit different from normal party, but the foundations are the very same. In short - we play, you dance 🙂
But... You have more space to move and express yourself. There is no judgement, no ego. You can dance absolutely free - you might be a little bit shy or too much aware what others are doing but when you finally let go and move how you really want, the feeling is extremely uplifting and blissful.
You are in the moment and in the flow.
You don't need any substances to be extremely high.
All you need is dance and be true to yourself.
We also start and finish with tribe circle, where we talk about dance and other things going on that evening like mocktail & elixir bar or activity stalls. It's also a great time to share your toughts and feelings with others if you feel like it.
This is how we feel connected. This is our tribe.

Yurai is experienced Dj with more than 20 years behind the decks. Coming from Slovakia - the heart of Europe, he is a multigenre wizard who loves everything that is driving, melodic and emotional.
Originaly coming from Trance parties and underground clubs, it was time for him to move on and co-create the event which is much deeper than any regular party can be.
Ecstatic Dance on his terms is 1.5hr sonic journey going from slow and deep rhythms into tribal inspired House and more energetic Psy Trance tunes. But really there's no boundaries. You can caught yourself dancing to orchestral symphony and 10 minutes after on driving Tech House.
Everything mixed as a journey that will lead you into the ultimate freedom.

Drums are the beating heart of Epicure, it's what it bring it to life. Adding layer of rhythm and live element.
Also of importance historically when the drums were the only way to keep the rhythm and sometime they were the only instrument playing.
Deeply captivating, the repetitive sound could lead to Trance like sensations, where you feel in the flow.
We can't simply imagine Epicure without them and we are very proud we have the best drummers from Sydney participating and enriching our ecstatic dances.

We are dancing every month at Manly. Where exactly? That changes every month but it's always within the walking distance of Manly centre.
Come with a friend or by yourself - you'll make some friends at the dance for sure!
Ecstatic Dance is also for everyone and whoever you are, if you have open mind and heart, you'll fit in!
